Privacy policy

234 Studio AS is the data controller for personal data processed on this website and in 234 Native. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain.

Who we are

234 Studio AS, organisation number 938 399 417, Trondheimsveien 162A, 0570 Oslo, Norway. Contact: hello@234studio.com.

This website

234studio.com sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and aggregated: it tells us which pages are visited and from which countries without identifying you. Vercel, our hosting provider, processes standard server logs including IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

234 Native accounts and subscriptions

When you create an account we store your name, email address and login details, and the settings and bookmarks you make in the service. This is needed to provide the service you subscribe to.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details and billing address; we never see or store your card number. We keep a record of your subscription, invoices and payment status for as long as bookkeeping law requires, which in Norway is five years.

We measure how the service is used, such as which pages are viewed, to improve it. Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in.

Native Companion, the iOS app for subscribers, signs you in with the same 234 Native account and is covered by this policy. If you have allowed it in your device settings, Apple shares anonymised crash and usage statistics for the app with us.

The 234 Native beta

Companies and individuals we invite to the closed beta of 234 Native get a private link to an invitation page, and a company also gets a shorter page to share with its team. To make the invitation we store the name of the person we invite and, if we have it, their work email address. When you reply, we store your answer, the number of users, the contact person's name and email address, the email domain your team should get access on, the time you book for an intro, and any notes you write. We use this only to give you access, plan the intro and follow up the beta. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the beta with the people and companies we have invited.

When email notifications are switched on, we get each reply by email, and the contact person gets a receipt with what we received and a link to change it. A booked intro becomes a calendar invitation from our Google Calendar: the contact person's name and email address are on the event, which is changed or cancelled when the reply is.

We count how many times each page is opened, how far down the invitation it is read, and whether the video is played, a question is opened or the summary is shared, without cookies and without recording who did it. To stop abuse, the visitor's IP address is used to limit how many requests can be made, and is kept for at most 15 minutes for that purpose.

We delete the replies and contact details from the beta within six months after it ends, unless we have agreed something else with you. Ask us at hello@234studio.com and we will delete them sooner.

Email

We send transactional email about your account and subscription, and we reply to messages you send us. Our email runs on Google Workspace. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it, and you can opt out at any time.

Who processes your data

Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and analytics), our database and authentication provider, Google (email, and for the beta the calendar invitations), and for the beta Upstash (database, in the EU) and Resend (email notifications). They process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Some of them process data outside the EEA under the EU standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to restrict or object to how we process it. Email hello@234studio.com and we will sort it out within a month. You can also delete your account yourself in the account settings.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, or to the authority in your own country.

Changes

We update this page when our processing changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
